Alexandria is considered one of the most famous cities in Egypt, and it is the second-largest city in terms of population. The Library of Alexandria, a lighthouse, and many Roman ruins can be found there. You'll see some of Rome's most famous sights, such as Pompey's Pillar. You will also enjoy the vibrant and lively atmosphere of the city.
Next, you will have a visit to Qaitbay Citadel, which was built in the 15th century and is an important stronghold helping to defend Egypt and the Mediterranean.
Then you will visit the Tombs of Kom el-Shuqafa, which consist of three levels of rooms and tombs that were carved into the subterranean rocks. These underground passages date back to the Roman era. You will also have the opportunity to explore important historical landmarks at the Library of Alexandria, a famous ancient library and educational center.
As you drive down Cornish Avenue, you will see the city below you as you cross the Stanly Bridge. This is a stunning landmark in modern Alexandria.
Finally, we return to Cairo.
